The human relationship with light is hardwired into the subconscious, and light’s healing effects have been well documented across a multitude of medical disciplines. Armed with the information gleaned from these studies combined with our years of experience in the field, the design team at Synapse uses this idea as a starting point for healthcare, wellness and healing. Whether it comes in the form of thoughtful and dynamic white light designs or playful and intriguing LED accents, light has great ability to shape our perceptions and create spaces for restoration and well-being.

Synapse was recently honored to be a part of designing PR2020, a New York medical environment that explores the possibilities of integrating technology into the medical environment. Through the use of LED accent lighting and an advanced control system we were able to elevate the status quo of hospital lighting to a place where both the needs of doctors and the perceptions of patience could be met without compromise.
